2016年9月15日，美国FTC更新了冷冻柜的能效标签法规。该法规的生效日期为2017年6月12日。

2017年6月12日以后，在美国生产或进口到美国的冷冻柜必须符合新的能效标签法规要求，详见16CFR305。
主要更新：
必须在标签上增加下列语句
a.CompareONLYtootherlabelswithyellownumbers.
b.Labelswithyellownumbersarebasedonthesametestprocedures.
标签底部的相关语句修改如下：
a.Yourcostwilldependonyourutilityratesanduse.
b.[Insertstatementrequiredbyitem3].
c.Estimatedenergycostisbasedonanationalaverageelectricitycostof___centsperkWh.
d.ftc.gov/energy.
依据AppendixB1–B3中的产品类型分别对应标示下列语句
a.AppendixB1-Costrangebasedonlyonuprightfreezermodelsofsimilarcapacitywithmanualdefrost.
b.AppendixB2-Costrangebasedonlyonuprightfreezermodelsofsimilarcapacitywithautomaticdefrost
